I prefer them too. The only minor issue is that you actually need to buy a cable rather than being supplied with TVs etc, but we have loads around the office so it's never a problem. And Pi branded ones are cheap as chips.am i the only one who prefers micro hdmi to normal hdmi?the normal hdmi cables and plugs are annoyingly thick.
i would prefer usb-c though. which will probably come with raspberry pi 7 or so.
USBC video is a way off, the 2712 simply doesn't support it, so it's next generation at least.
