Does anyone have experience with this module?

I bought one on Amazon which was misleadingly labelled as the well known Benewake TFmini-S.
After cutting off the connectors... I discovered that it wasn't!
Naturally the Python software available for the TFmini doesn't work with this unit. I asked the suppliers for more info but they haven't replied.
I tried getting ChatGPT to write something but although I seem to get a reading it never changes with the varying distance...
So if by chance someone knows how to get a proper reading from this then I'd appreciate a headsup.
