Interfacing (DSI, CSI, I2C, etc.) • Re: Sound through I2S DAC

I'd be tempted to strip the config.txt file back to the basics, to see if something is interfering.

OK, I have taken out everything except
dtparam=i2s=on and
dtoverlay=hifiberry-dac

and I still get:
$ aplay -l
aplay: device_list:272: no soundcards found...
