I would hope not because that will corrupt the file system when using MicroPython as it runs to end of Flash. I do recall discussion on this and the fact that using the the 8KB after Binary End is just as bad for those not expecting anyone to be using that but can't find it at present.The bluetooth library for the Pico W does exactly that, storing pairing keys and whatnot in the last 8 KB of flash.
