Compute Module • Re: CM5 in CM4 boards - USB 3.0 from CAM0/DISP0?

I have worked on this a bit more. It does look like the USB ports are disabled in the .dtb file.

I followed Jeff Geerling's blog on customizing the device tree (https://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog/2023/ ... spberry-pi).

I changed the 3 places that USB was listed from "disabled" to "okay" and then compiled the file to a .dtb.

It did not make any difference. I am not convinced it is using the new customized device tree. I changed the "model" to include USB3 so I could see it was being used, but the model is always listed as "Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 Rev. 1".

I tried coping the new .dtb to the CM5 on CM4IO and CM5 on CM5IO, still the same result.

I also tried defining the device_tree= in the config.txt, again still the same result.

It feels so close but does not work. Is there any way to determine if the new .dtb file is being used?

Thanks.
