Well, I'm off to read the app note. AFAICT there is no active mode that affects Wifi functionality. LDOs and PMU was mentioned; active power save might mean control of those resources which may lead to differences in latencies for some ops. But nothing that would suggest degradation of service.

Thanks for sharing these. I will read the app note as well. My intuition is that power saving modes should affect LATENCY only and not availability.

Another outstanding mystery is the meaning of the "49" event messages. Most of the debug messages I see are defined in cyw43-driver/src/cyw43_ll.h but not 49.
