General discussion • Re: how much would it have cost per pi500 to fit the M.2 components?

It will certainly be interesting to see what future products Raspberry Pi release in 2025 and 2026 Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.
:D
There certainly is something brewing as the market cap for RPI is now £1.2 billion. Pounds not dollars.
That's partly because one investment house is trying to build a strong position in RPL's shares. That's happened after many IPOs, and is sometimes done to encourage the majority share owners (the Foundation, Eben and ARM in this case I believe) to cash in some potential profits.

Sometimes the high price sticks, sometimes it falls back. It's certainly overvalued by current sales and profit figures, but maybe all the new products will justify the price when their contribution reaches the next financial figures. Have to wait and see.
For comparison the capitalisation of Dogecoin is currently above US$ 46 billion.

Though I've not done any market research, I wonder whether the additional excitement and sales generated if the Pi 500 originally had the m.2 socket would more than have made up for the reduced profit per unit.
