Ron's scripts convert Ubuntu installs to UIDs with 'lbl2id' and use modify /etc/fstab with that. With his utilities, you can use GTP partitioning.The issue is that the maintainers have chosen to reference partitions using LABELS only. It doesn't seem to support PARTUUIDs. Not sure about UUIDs as I don't use them.1. Ubuntu Desktop 23.10 will not run on a Raspberry Pi 5 from a USB storage device. It must be run on an SD card.
