What update procedure did you use?I recently did an update of my PI 4, after doing the update I lost a few programs. Libreoffice , the shutdown icon, Raspberry Pi imager, none of them work anymore. I also have the wonderful experience of being unable to read a full (more then one screen) article. I get part way down and surprise, cursor is back to the top. The jumping cursor also occurs on my PI 5 8 GB. That got so bad that I can't use it anymore. I think my best option on that one is to go straight to Ubuntu and put that on an NVME drive. I've posted before, here and on other forums, but mostly get told that I don't know how to do updates or that something is wrong with my equipment. I've been using a PI as my daily driver for maybe 8 years. But these latest round of updates/upgrades are shaking my faith. I don't what to go back to the evil empire from Redmond Wa. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You say these programs don't work - in what way? Do they crash? Do they not even start to run? Have the icons disapeared?
For the jumping cursor, is this in all applications or Chrome or Firefox?
