The sensor works with a different python library (sds011lib), on the same Raspberry Pi.
I think the issue is that his code assumes the mode of the sds011 is automatic.
I may need to augment the above code to actively query the sensor before each read, or turn it to automatically read new data (active mode).
Any help from folks on how to set and query mode, or query data would be appreciated
