Very much interested in this as well.
With the legacy implementation of hello_decoding I used to achieve very low decoding latency on a raspberry zero. Unfortunatly that is gone now and libav seems the only option remained. Is there something that can justify why decoding latency is so much more now on Bullseye or Bookworm ? Almost an order of magnitude I would say.
Again I'm referring to display the decoded imaged in os lite, no window manager.
Any hint would be greatly appreciated...
